Privacy Policy

Last updated July 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ClearLord ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our software and website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account data — email, name, and password hash you provide at signup.
  • Portfolio data — properties, units, tenants, rent, expenses, and documents you enter.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, features used, and errors, used to improve the Service.
  • Payment data — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store card numbers.

How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
  • Send transactional email (account, billing, security).
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Detect abuse, fraud, and violations of the Terms.

We do not sell your personal data.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us operate ClearLord:

  • Cloud hosting and database
  • Payment processing (Stripe)
  • Email delivery
  • Analytics used to improve the product

We may disclose information if required by law.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Backups run automatically. No system is perfectly secure — use a strong, unique password.

Data retention

We keep your portfolio data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account we remove personal data within 30 days, except records we are required to retain (e.g. billing records).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To make a request, email support@getclearlord.com.

Children

ClearLord is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
