Your rent data. Guarded like it's ours.
This page is maintained by ClearLord to answer common questions about how we handle your data. It reflects controls currently enabled in the product — not an independent audit or certification.
Encryption in transit and at rest
All traffic between your browser and ClearLord is encrypted with TLS 1.2+. Data stored in our managed Postgres database is encrypted at rest using AES-256. Automated daily backups are also encrypted.
Authentication
Sign-in is powered by industry-standard token-based sessions. You can use Google single sign-on or email + password. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and checked against the Have I Been Pwned breach database on signup and password change. Row-level security policies scope every database query to the signed-in account — you can never see another landlord's data by construction.
Where your data lives & subprocessors
ClearLord runs on a managed Postgres backend (Supabase, hosted in the United States). Application code runs on Cloudflare's global edge network. Payments, when enabled, are processed by Stripe — ClearLord never sees or stores card numbers. AI summaries are generated through the Lovable AI Gateway; prompts include only the aggregate portfolio numbers needed for the summary. Transactional email is delivered through Resend. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, and we do not train third-party AI models on your data.
Data ownership and deletion
Your data is yours. Export a full CSV of properties, tenants, rent payments, and expenses from Reports any time. Delete your account from Settings and all associated data is removed within 30 days from primary and backup storage.
Report a vulnerability
Found a security issue? Email security@clearlord.app. We acknowledge reports within 2 business days and do not pursue researchers acting in good faith.
ClearLord secures the platform, encryption, backups, and infrastructure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe, choosing a strong password, and controlling who you invite into your workspace.
